Comfortable, once you find the right mounting position
Once you find the right mounting position, and not strap it too tight, it rides with you without bouncing on your leg or slipping down. Set the top strap above the calf and set it firm, but not too tight. Loosely strap the lower so you can fit a finger behind the strap snugly. Too loose and your piece will bounce, too tight and it cuts the circulation. Personally I wish I would have paid for the snap restraints instead of the Velcro…I find it difficult to release my piece from the holster. I set the restraint off on an angle so I can grab the Velcro faster.

Good quality product, minor downsides
Got this to ankle carry my Beretta Pico .380 as a secondary on-body carry in addition to an IWB carry primary. The fit for the pico is perfect, but the strap that goes over the top to secure it down tightly is pretty loose when pushing the pico firmly down into the elastic holster. I like that the elastic band to slip the pico conforms to the exact shape, but without a snug snap down on top of it, it doesn’t give me the most secure feeling.Same applies for the snaps on the magazine holder, the snap strap just kind of flaps around because it is more suited for a longer “tool” and a longer magazine.Overall though despite those downsides, it has held my devices securely for very long times and very long walks. You can feel a slight “jiggle & bounce” as you take steps but that’s to be expected. Again, I’ve never had either my primary piece or the magazine fall out or even become loose though and the straps around upper & lower section have remained secure so I’ll continue using this until it becomes an issue. Will update this review if I have any failure of the velcro or lose my piece from lack of secure straps.Would recommend!

Best ankle holster I’ve owned
First day wearing this holster was 89 degrees and humid. I am using it to carry a backup Smith and Wesson Model 38 (2″ barrel – hammerless). From the start the rig was comfortable and easy to wear. Even being a big guy and wearing large top steel toe boots the holster never budged all day. Lots walking around and work without any problems. The retention is great and the velcro strap a plus (goes over the hammerless revolver with room to spare). I highly recommend this.

BUG Holster
Two is one – one is none. Have been wanting to try out an ankle carry for awhile but one excuse after another kept coming up. Finally said ‘F it’ and bought this one from Bear Armz Tactical because of all the positive feedback and want to pitch in my cents on it. Great holster for my G43 and holds it firmly in place. Was anticipating the holster to slide down a little bit and maybe rub against my ankle but that never occurred. Haven’t tried running with it yet but will give that a go once it’s no longer sweltering outside (Texas heat – ugh). Only complaint is that the material (neoprene?) keeps the covered area a bit warm; otherwise highly recommended.

Awesome Product!
Tried it with my Springfield XDs 45 caliper. Very comfortable even with the on the larger framed gun(for ankle concealment). It does print, because of the size of the gun and no fault of the holster but could be mistaken as ankle brace off some kind. So far great product especially for the money!

So comfortable that I had to check to see if it was still there
This holster surprised me. I have been disappointed with my previous ankle holster, so I decided to try another. The price was right and the reviews showed good. But when I got it and started wearing it, my expectations were exceeded. After wearing it for almost a week, there have been several times that I had to check that my gun was still there. Of course it was there, but it was so comfortable, that I could not feel it.I highly recommend this holster.

Ankle holster
I have big calves so not much adjustment. Other than that I like the holster and the velcro seems strong. Only been wearing a couple days.

Nice setup.
This is a nice setup. Looks made well, it is comfortable and stays put. I have tried Micro Eagle, S&W Shield 45 and a Glock 30. The Glock 30 was too big in my opinion, the Shield is fine as long as you do not sit on your legs, but the Micro Eagle is perfect. You do not even notice it. Great product just do not plan on putting anything large in it and forgeting it is there. Keep the bigger stuff on waist and put a BUG on you leg.

Great ankle holster for the money
Bought this holster for a Ruger LC9, it works great, holds the firearm and an extra mag. This is the first ankle holster I have ever owned, so there was an adjustment period. The LC9 is held in place with a velcro strap and doesn’t move no matter how much exertion I go through. I had a small issue that the customer service team at Bear Armz resolved immediately and cheerfully. Best customer service ever! Great value for the money.

Overall, a good holster
I have had this holster for a week or so now and overall feel that it is a solid 4.5. It stays tight on the leg the entire time it is on. Feels so nice that you almost forget it is there. My only (2) complaints were that #1, when you attempt to draw, the Velcro unhooks making excessive noise and #2, it did not fit my Taurus G2C or PT111 Gen 2. I could not conceal either of those pistols with this holster. It works great for my Glock 42. Overall, a very nice holster for a good price.

this fits perfect on my leg and this molds to the body
This was the holster that I’ve been looking for, this fits perfect on my leg and this molds to the body, in fact I have to take my other leg to feel for my gun because you don’t notice that it’s there, for the price, I’m buying another one just in case the price starts to go up, The first one that I bought for $29.00 it really suck. You had to take your shoe off to slip your leg through the holster and after walking a day in it, it starts to slide down my leg to my ankle then I have to go off somewhere and pull it back up my leg, and the zipper separated and it made it even looser. I’m so picky when it comes to me, this holster I am 100% satisfied, I will call my buddy who told me about the holster with the zipper and tell him that I found the real deal.

Very good for the price and style.
For a neoprene ankle holster this is a great product.Pros:Double Velcro straps for minimal movementRetention strapMagazine/accessory pocketCons:No solid trigger guardDesigned for taller peoplePistol retention strap should be more like a thumb break retention strapI bought this ankle holster for those times I want to take my suit coat off or otherwise can’t carry on my waist. I started out testing this holster wearing without a pistol in it while at work, and I even slept with it on with a pistol and spare mag. It is very comfortable. There have been a few times when driving for a while that it seems to slide down a little, but it’s probably due to my leg muscles being in a different position between walking and driving. The holster is designed for a wide variety of leg circumferences. It would probably be great lengthwise for someone 5’8″ or taller, but might work fine for a shorter woman with long lower legs. I should get my wife to try it on…The retention strap should either break in the middle or fold down so that the strap doesn’t get in the way while trying to draw. One nice thing about the pistol compartment is that the elastic has two layers so that if your pistol needs more or less tension on it you have options.I purchased this for my M&P shield which does not have a manual safety, but even if it did I would use a kydex trigger guard. My trigger guard is very minimalistic but it’s a little too tight of a fit but I make it work.Overall I am satisfied with the product and would recommend it even with it’s short falls.

The best I’ve found
An ankle holster seems to be the most appropriate for my needs. I’ve tried quite a few before I found these but so so far this one has been a great performer. I carry a Diamondback DB9 daily. Everything stays in place, good retention in the holster and the whole rig never shifts around throughout the day. The Velcro on these seems to be of much better quality than what you’d normally see and retains it’s integrity for quite a while. Eventually, however the Velcro will begin to lose it’s adhesive quality. Bottom line is that for the price, I can’t complain. I can get a year of good daily use out of one of these, then buy a fresh one for $20. (On my third one now)

Fits well and stays in place. My only suggestion would to have a bit more padding toward the muzzle-end to alleviate that pressure point.

Very nice holster
I have been thinking of getting an ankle holster for some time now and finally pulled the trigger (Pun intended). My first impression is that it is very comfortable and fit my leg well. With the 2 straps it does not slide, of course I do have it pulled on nice and tight. To give it what I feel is the best test, I ran and jumped with it on and it stays in place. The gun strap gives me the confidence that my gun and extra mag will stay put and that is really important.I highly recommend this Brand and am also looking at their belly holster for my larger 9mm. 5 Stars all the way!!

Great holster
I rarely ankle carry but needed to replace my Blackhawk ankle holster after many years. And I am glad I found this one as the replacement. Vast majority of stitched nylon products have trail ends of thread where the sewing was done. And I have not seen any of those on this holster, a good measure of quality by the maker. The straps hold against my leg very tightly and do not sag or twist like my last ankle holster did. Overall I am very happy with the product. Carry weapon is Walther PPS M1 and a spare 7 round magazine.

Comfortable and works well
This holster works very well and has plenty of adjustment to fit (velcro type ).The only minor thing is that the slide can cause a little discomfort at the muzzle end (it can dig in a little ..that is slightly more of my Sig P938 issue than a holster issue). On the P938, it’s not very rounded/tapered (like many compact/sub compacts …why firearm manufacturers don’t make them that way for sub compacts, I don’t know) and if there was some cushioning in the holster it would make the holster even better. Just something to be aware of if you wear it fairly low near the ankle. It would probably be easy to sew in a little fabric (about 1.5 by 1.5 inches ) just to give it a little more cushion but I haven’t tried that yet (maybe a suggestion for the manufacturer)Even with all that said, the quality seems great and I’d recommend this holster!

Best ankle holster
I work in business so I wear khakis and tucked in dress shirt for years. well I don’t plan on getting robbed out and about so a ankle holster works great for dress clothes. I have a tiny 380 Smith and Wesson bodyguard with crimson laser. This holster is very comfortable I wore it in 70 degree NC heat and my thick kahkis and didn’t sweat, hell I didn’t even notice I had it on. The upper strap works great and keeps it above your ankle so it doesn’t slide down like other holsters.

Way better than expected!
I purchased this one because of the good reviews. Well I got it yesterday and put it on with my Glock 43. Wow! Very comfortable, I don’t even notice it’s there except for a little extra weight on that ankle. With that top strap it doesn’t move around at all. For the price I paid($14) I’m impressed with the quality stitching and overall build. This just solved my problem of carrying appendix when going out to eat or tucking in my shirt. I know it’s not the fastest draw but you can work it in to your training. You can use the old, “I have to tie my shoelace” trick if you’re being followed. Lol. Wish I tried this 2 yrs ago. I would’ve enjoyed those ribeyes a lot more without a Glock in my gut….at $14 it’s a steal!

Stretchy
I have three similar ankle holsters and this is the one I WANT to love the most but can not. I like that there is a retention strap for both the firearm and the magazine. It’s a soft material that breaths which neoprene doesn’t, and it is very comfortable if you don’t do much walking. However, it stretches during the day and slips down my leg just enough to cause the barrel to start digging into my ankle or even flop around near the top of my shoe. My calves are pretty large so people with other leg shapes may have a better time with it. The craftsmanship is excellent and even though I have to readjust VERY often I find myself picking this one to wear when I’m headed out the door, especially if I’m just going to be sitting all day.

Great ankle Holster
I think this is one of the best ankle holsters I had bought usually the ankle holster slides down your leg onto the top of my foot but this holster is made with the upper support that stops this from happening great job plus it seems to be made strong in fact I can fit my S&W 45 in it except the gun is to big for concealment use. when it came in I thought that nothing would fit in it, but after reading the instructions they said that it would seem that way but to put the pistole in it and it will stretch out and so it did, you can’t go wrong with this holster

An excellent ankle or calf holster with tight hold and a low profile
Returned a similar, inferior product and exchanged it for this one. I am very happy with it. It’s comfortable and stays snug on my calf, which is why I returned the other one. I asked a questions about the product on Amazon (Velcro or those weird little dots?) and, though this holster does use the weird little dots, it affixes extremely well. I have no concerns about it coming undone or slipping off at an inconvenient moment. Some comments say that the holster strap and magazine strap were poorly stitched on and tore off after only a couple of uses. Either Bear Armz must have fixed that issue or those commentators must have gotten a defective item. My straps are stitched on tight, and I appreciate the extra strap on the magazine pocket. For the record, I carry a Ruger LCPII with factory magazines. I keep one mag in the pistol (unchambered). And I can fit two other magazines in the mag pocket…that’s 18 rounds strapped to my calf and the holster disappears under my suit pants or slacks. It’s perfect, and I highly recommend this holster for folks who can’t carry an IWB or belt holster.

Fits well and doesn’t slide down. Gun angle not adjustable. Two hands required to reholster.
I’m not a tall guy (5’8″) so I was concerned with the height of some of the ankle holsters I browsed. I settled upon this Bear Armz ankle holster because one of the reviews indicated it was about 11″ from top to bottom and that appeared to fit my leg properly. When I strap the upper at the top of my calf muscle, the bottom is strapped a few inches above my ankle and it doesn’t show when I sit. I have a pretty good size calf and it is plenty large enough at the top. I actually find myself needing to slip the extra length of calf strap back through the strap so it doesn’t hang down and tickle my leg. I’ve worn it for three or four hours at a time and found it comfortable.I’m holstering a Glock 43x which fits well but the extra length grip does require pant legs that are a bit loose. It works with some jeans but not others and with some Docker type pants but not ones with narrow legs. Because you can’t really adjust the angle of the gun, the grip does extend past the back of the calf. If the rear of the gun could be angled a bit forward, it would print less. No one has noticed I was carrying unless I mentioned it. The 43X fits with the tip of the barrel just reaching the bottom opening of the holster. Because the part of the holster that holds the gun is elastic, I find I need to use both hands to insert the gun and open the holster where the trigger guard enters. The gun feels secure and the snap closure, though not tight, eliminates any worry about the gun falling out. I haven’t carried an extra magazine in it.
C. Howdle –
I set the restraint off on an angle so I can grab the Velcro faster.
rinman –
Price was good, comfort and usability high marks
So far no complaints. Using for small frame pistols. I realize a lot of construction on these holsters are built for the “masses”. I would like to have one that would have a place for two magazines for the Glock 42 and variations of the small frame, small caliber pistols…

Good quality that lasts.
I bought this over a year ago. I wear it daily M-F for 8-10 hours a day. The velcro still holds. The strap and buckle still works. Good retention for a smaller framed pistol (Bodyguard .380). It conceals well, and is easily accessible, well as accessible as an ankle holster can be. The only negative is the spare magazine carrier strap is waaaay too big. The carrier holds the magazine but it may fall out should you take it out and hold it upside down or do cartwheels. I have never had a magazine fall out while wearing it though. My fat ass hasn’t done a cartwheel in decades.

Comfortable and secure ankle holster, makes your pee-pee look HUGE
This is a comfortable ankle holster that securely holds my backup weapon, and a spare magazine.I spend a lot of time chasing after bad people, going up and down stairs, and sitting in my squad car – all in the heat and humidity of Florida. This holster holds up well in those conditions, retains my weapon comfortably and safely, and is unnoticeable for all intents and purposes. For $10, I’m shocked at the quality. I’ve spent more for ankle holsters, but did not get a reciprocal value for that investment. I am well and truly pleased with my Bear Armz holster, and I highly recommend it to others.I bought this as a duty-use item to carry my back-up gun for work 2 weeks ago, and wanted to get some field-use in with it prior to writing my review. It is very comfortable to wear – even on 14 hour shifts, outside in the Florida heat and humidity. This holster carries my Walther PPS m2 and spare mag with ease. It disappears behind my pants leg like it’s not even there. I use this ankle holster in conjunction with the Concealment Express kydex IWB holster for extra piece of mind, as I carry my back-up gun in Condition 0/Condition 2 while going up and down stairs, chasing bad guys, and sweating like crazy in the aforementioned Florida heat and humidity – this arrangement allows me to bypass the built-in velcro strap of the ankle holster, using the retention capabilities of the molded kydex with the compression of the elastic on the ankle holster, and go straight to the gun without fighting with the safety strap on the ankle holster. YMMV, but I’m happy with this set-up.I highly recommend this holster. It works very well, and I consider it well worth the $10 I paid for it.

VERY EASY TO USE AND COMFORTABLE
I didn’t get my Ankle Holster for Concealed Carry the first time through no fault of Bear Armz. Once I let Amazon know about it a replacement was shipped to me arriving the next day after my complaint. I give it a 4 because the upper strap needs frequent readjusting after walking for a while. I need to fiddle with that. Maybe I need to tighten the upper strap more. I’m using it with a small back up gun and love the extra pocket for an additional magazine. I’s also a lot less bulky than the previous ankle holster I had and much easier to strap on.

This is my third ankle holster of similar design. The velcro and strap did not hold up and began slipping after a couple of months. This one seems a bit more durable. It has thicker straps and stickier fastner. I’ll report back after a few more months of use and see if it deserves another star.

the overall construction seems great, the velcro retention strap on the holster part …
l bought this mostly due to the price but l was a but surprised, l’m kind of a big guy and the leg straps are long enough to get a secure hold around my calf and ankle, the neoprene is soft against my leg, the overall construction seems great, the velcro retention strap on the holster part could be a bit longer for better secureness but overall l like it, l noticed a couple reviews that mentions having to wear bell bottoms and such but l wear cargo pants and the loose legs of those have ample room, l wear it it inside left leg, right hand drawalso, this is for a back up, not primary

Well worth the price and multipurpose
Only been wearing it for about a week, but very comfortable. My Taurus G3C fits in it, but with the standard finger extension mags, and slim fit boot cut jeans (not skinny jeans just the middle ground between baggy and skinny in the leg) it prints pretty bad. That isnt the holsters fault at all, just a heads up to anyone considering this holster. Ill try it again once i get a more subcompact/slim 9mm or flush fit mags. For now i am using it to hold a TQ, leatherman or spare mag in the smaller pocket, and Quickclot or a pouch of ETD in the “gun” pocket. Depends on my environment that day.I personally think its a better option than the $50 ankle med kits, because the top strap holds the weight of your kit on your calf, and its more comfortable than the standard ankle med kits. I also wear cowboy boots so the pocket area stays very secure. But i think with two straps it will stay in place even with shoes or regular boots.Highly recommend this product
